intel-cmt-cat software package provides Intel cache monitoring and allocation technology config tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install intel-cmt-cat
intel-cmt-cat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the intel-cmt-cat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep intel-cmt-cat *
You will get with intel-cmt-cat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
